The
Glenway Neighbourhood is located on the west side of the Town of
Newmarket on the south side of Davis Dr, which intersects the town
in the centre from east to west. It was built in 1986 around
Glenway Golf and Country Club. It weaves thru the golf
course allowing many of the homes to back onto fairways. The lots
were larger than traditional and ranged from 50-60 ft width and
120-130 depths on average. The builders in the area were Glenway,
Palbac, Regal Crest and Canada Homes, Geraniun, Great Gulf and
Tribute.
The majority of the homes are detached in styles ranging from
bungalows, a popular backsplit model called " the Newbury" ,
sidesplits, and 2 storeys.
The homes themselves range in size from 1500 to 4500.
This area is a desireable, upper scale area, family oriented
neighbourhood.
The homes although in the 25yr range are extremely well maintained
and updated and the streetscape shows a well cared for, neat , clean
area with mature trees and wonderful landscaping. The homes range
in price from $ to $
There is an enclaves of condo townhomes to the south east which
are separate from the Glenway detached homes. They ranging in price
from to .
As well as flowing around a golf course, this Neighbourhood is well
situated at the centre of Newmaket with many local services within
walking distance. Such as Go bus station, Upper Canada Mall,
Newmarket Court Offices, Chapters, Liquor store and Ray Twinney
Recreation Complex. This complex has 2 arenas, indoor pool, snack
bars, lounges, banquet and meeting rooms, baseball diamonds,

This Site is dedicated to the
Memory of
Brandyn Miller |
 |
To
all the people that use this Neighbourhood Web Site.
Your site was developed by Brandyn Miller while he was awaiting a
Heart/Lung Transplant. He created this and
other neighbourhood sites as a start to a business and a
thought to his future once he received those long
awaited organs.
On
May 16th ,2005 we got the call that they had
his new organs available. He went into his surgery with a
happy grin and total belief that he would wake up with a
new future. He fought long and hard to stay with us.
Tuesday May 17th he lost that fight. |
|
Your web site will continue, with the help of his techie
friends as a legacy
and tribute to “My Brave Son-
Brandyn”
Thank you all for making his project successful and giving
him such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment and
community involvement.
PLEASE continue to help make this site grow, in honor of
Brandyn,
It will continue where he could not.
