The Glenway subdivision was first
opened in 1983 and had a variety of builders such as Tribute and Glenway homes . the homes in this subdivision are
all on oversized lots and the streets intersect the fairways of the
adjoining Glenway Golf and country club.

Glenway is on the far western edge of the town of Newmarket ,
fronting onto the south side of Davis drive and just west of Yonge
St . Upper Canada Mall , Kelsey's restaurant, Algonquins Restaurant,
Chapters, Pier One, Loblaws and a variety of other stores are within
walking distance, making it an ideal location for families with
older children that want to have a close source of part-time jobs.
Glenway Country Club offers a variety of memberships from , golf to
Fitness to social depending on your needs and hobbies. There is a
large outdoor pool, tennis courts, fitness centre, restaurant and
bar as well as meeting and conference rooms that are regularily used
for a variety of social functions.

Glenway is just 35 minutes to downtown Toronto and 20 minutes to the
recreation areas of Lake Simcoe . Canada's Wonderland Theme park is
about 15 mins via Hwy 400
There are about 1700 homes in the Glenway community , but with the
fairways intersecting the homes there is a feeling of space
and lots of mature planting. The homes in this area are mainly mid
to large detached homes , with some townhome areas on the perimeter.
The detached homes range from $264,000 - $512,000 with
the average about $360,900. The townhomes range from $170,000-
$200,000 and average $173,000.
Tucked into the centre of Glenway off Eagle St is the Ray Twinney
Recreation Centre with hockey rinks, swimming pool and outside
facilities for baseball and soccer. Large events like Circus's,
hockey games, ball tournaments and October Fest are often hosted
here.
